The 3D Printing Laboratory, part of the Center for Innovation and e-Health from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Carol Davila" Bucharest, is a non-profit facility dedicated to higher education research. We aim to cultivate medical innovation by implementing and encouraging the use of 3D printing in education, current medical practice, and research. We combine advanced technologies, medical data, and expert knowledge to create customized models, surgical guides, implants, and devices for setting a high educational standard and improving medical practice.

Our team, comprised of Doctors and Medical Engineers, aims to bridge the gap between the 3D printing technology and the personalized, more adaptable methods of modern medical care practices. Our goal is to offer personalized medical devices and planning to as many medical specialties as possible, using CAD-CAM and 3D printing to develop personalized medical devices. Our proposed solution is structured in a step-up tier, from digital presurgical planning to customized surgical guides, going up to implantable medical devices using the latest materials and technologies.
