From Bucharest to Shanghai: A Research Mobility Grant for Medical-Titanium 3D Printing

Dr. Eduard Liciu, coordinator of CieH's 3D Printing Lab, won a research mobility grant (PN-IV-P2-2.2-MC-2024-0419) for a training placement at Tongji University in Shanghai, focused on 3D printing with medical-grade titanium.

The placement let him deepen his expertise in advanced medical-titanium printing techniques and build connections with internationally renowned professors in the field — knowledge the lab is already folding into its own metal-powder workflow, backed by the ISO 13485 accreditation it earned the same year.
