Two 3D Printing Lab Researchers on Research Placements in Singapore

Andreea Cristescu, an engineer at the 3D Printing Lab, completed a research placement (PN-IV-P2-2.2-MC-2024-0515) at the National University of Singapore's Centre for Translational Medicine, specialising in 3D bioprinting of cardiovascular organoids — techniques the lab is integrating into its own workflow in 2025.

In the same mobility-grant cohort, Daniel Cristea completed a placement at the National Heart Centre Singapore, specialising in cardiovascular microfluidics: 3D micro-printing, micro-printed biosensors, and perfusion for 3D cell cultures.
