13,500 3D-Printed Pieces in One Year: the 3D Printing Lab's 2025 Results

CieH's 3D Printing Lab closed 2025 with a record level of activity: more than 13,500 3D-printed medical models and devices, including around 8,000 dental arches produced for the Faculty of Dental Medicine.

The lab worked with an extensive network of hospitals — including the Central Military Hospital, the "Grigore Alexandrescu" Children's Emergency Hospital, the "Victor Gomoiu" Children's Clinical Hospital, Bucharest University Emergency Hospital, Monza Hospital and Sanador Hospital — supplying personalised anatomical models, surgical guides and medical-device prototypes. The team grew to 12 members, the lab hosted 83 institutional and academic visits, including from Israel and the United States, and it earned ISO 13485 recertification following its annual external audit.
