A Record Year for Medical Simulation at UMFCD: 1,161 Activities, Over 21,600 Participants

In 2025, CieH's Medical Simulation Department ran 1,161 workshops and training activities — up roughly 65% on the previous year — with 21,603 trainees taking part, 81% more than in 2024. The trend over the past five years has been striking: from 101 activities in 2021, to 198 in 2022, 258 in 2023, 705 in 2024 and 1,161 in 2025.

The activities supported 46 disciplines across all four of the university's faculties, in collaboration with 25 university clinical hospitals, covering more than 150 different procedures and clinical scenarios — from basic life support to robotic surgery and endovascular procedures. The equipment base grew by 37 new simulators, and the team expanded with 15 student volunteers.
