Romania's Only Student Speaker at the Cambridge CECIR Symposium — Terahertz Radiation Research

Robin Bucur Portase, a Johnson & Johnson scholar at CieH, studied the biological effects of terahertz radiation on cell cultures and organoids in vitro — a still-underexplored field at the boundary between physics and medicine.

The project was presented at the Medical International Conference for Students (MEDICS) in Bucharest, where Robin won second prize and the audience's honorary diploma for his oral presentation, and at the CECIR Student Research Symposium hosted by the Cambridge Centre for International Research — where he was the only student from Romania to present, among a select group of international young researchers.
