The Student Assembly: Basics of ECG & Ablation 101 is a unique educational event designed to introduce students to the fascinating world of electrophysiology and cardiac ablation. You will explore the 𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐂𝐆 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐜 𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, shedding light on these critical aspects of cardiology.

Cardiac ablation is a therapeutic procedure used to treat certain heart 𝐫𝐡𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐦 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬, like atrial fibrillation and supraventricular tachycardia. We’ll teach you about the 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬 involved and the role it plays in restoring normal heart function. You’ll also discover the 𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 used, as well as the 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 before, during, and after the intervention.
