Dear students,
On March 22, 2024, you are invited to a virtual reality (VR) workshop organized by the Extended Reality (XR) Laboratory within the Center for Innovation and e-Health of UMPCD.
The workshop is addressed to medical students from the English module at UMPCD.
Goals:
A comparative exploration of heart anatomy through VR and echocardiography
enhance understanding, physiological functions, spatial relationships, and interpretation of cardiac intricate structures- chambers and vascular structures;
analyze the comparative anatomy of the heart through VR and echocardiography (side-by-side examination of cardiac anatomy through VR and echocardiographic sections, interpretation of echocardiographic findings, identifying key similarities and differences);
unveiling the practical applications of exploring the heart in a three-dimensional VR environment in cardiology, discussing its role in diagnosis, treatment planning, and its correlation with real-time imaging.
The workshop will take place on March 22, 2024, from 14:00 to 15:00.

Access to the workshop is free upon registration.
